Start with freshly washed, detangled hair that has been lightly towel dried. Apply a leave-in product to add moisture before beginning. Power on the device and set your tension level (1-7) using the buttons on the screen. First time using? Start at a 3 and adjust from there to find the right setting for each head of hair. For low heat, set the wand toggle to I. For high heat, set to II.
Allow the hair to be drawn into the wand and hold it close to the scalp until the section is fully dry. Work in 3-inch sections -- each takes between 60 and 120 seconds depending on hair type, density, and length.
