PLA’s Sculpt Gel is a professional formula, often referred to as polygel or acrygel. It’s designed for nail techs who want strength, flexibility and total sculpting control. It’s a perfect hybrid for those looking for an acrylic feel, but prefer gel. It’s a must have for any polygel nail kit, perfect for building overlays, extensions, fills, or nail sculpting.

All PLA Gel Foundation Products are 10-free, HEMA Free and TPO Free! This means that PLA Nail Products do not contain formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, or toluene, also known as the Toxic Trio. They are also free of formaldehyde resin, camphor, parabens, xylene, phthalates, fragrances, or animal ingredients.
As the nail industry ages, there are more nail technicians reporting headaches, breathing problems, linking to toxic nail products and chemicals in their working environment. It is PLA's mission to bring you high quality products that are toxin free.
1. Prep the natural nail, ensuring cuticles are clean, nail is shaped as desired, and shine is removed with buffer or sanding band.
2. Cleanse the nail with 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol.
3. If creating extensions, apply sculpting form under the free edge of the natural nail, or apply your nail tip of choice.
4. Apply thin coat of “Perfect Base”- Cure 30 seconds.
5. For extensions, dispense a bead of “Sculpt Gel” from the tube and slice using your palette knife. Apply the bead to the free edge of the nails, and build out your extension shape by spreading the product with your brush dipped in isopropyl alcohol.
6. Dispense up a bead of “Sculpt Gel” using your palette knife, and apply to the body of the nail. Manipulate the “Sculpt Gel” with your brush soaked in alcohol to create your structure. Cure 60 seconds.
8. To finish-file, wipe away the inhibition layer with 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol. Refine shape and overlay using your e-file or hand file.
9. Cleanse away dust and debris using isopropyl alcohol.
10. Finish with color, design, or “Top it Off” top coat. Cure 60 seconds.
