Step 1: Cleanse According to Hair Condition
Shampoo the hair to remove residue and prepare the fiber for treatment. Use a clarifying shampoo only when the hair has oil, buildup, or heavy product residue. For dry, bleached, or color-treated hair, use a gentle moisturizing or color-safe shampoo. Rinse well.
Step 2: Towel-Dry
Remove excess water until the hair is damp but not dripping. This helps the Magic Shot mixture spread evenly without becoming overly diluted.
Step 3: Mix the Magic Shot
In a color bowl or applicator container, mix 1 part Magic Shot with 3 parts water. Blend with a brush until the texture becomes creamy, smooth, and uniform.
Step 4: Section the Hair
Divide the hair into four quadrants. Apply the mixture section by section, focusing on mid-lengths and ends, or on the areas that feel dry, rough, dull, frizzy, or chemically sensitized.
Step 5: Comb Through for Even Distribution
Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute the product evenly through the hair. Avoid over-combing fragile or bleached hair. The goal is even saturation, not mechanical stress.
Step 6: Process
Allow the treatment to process for 5–15 minutes depending on the condition of the hair. For resistant, coarse, or very dry hair, use a plastic cap and gentle heat for up to 10–15 minutes. Avoid excessive processing time on highly porous or bleached hair.
Step 7: Rinse
Rinse with cool to lukewarm water until the hair feels soft, smooth, and free of heavy residue. Do not leave the hair coated or sticky.
Step 8: Blow-Dry & Finish
Blow-dry using a brush for smoothness and shine. Flat ironing should be optional, not mandatory. If used, adjust the temperature according to hair condition and avoid excessive passes, especially on bleached or fragile hair.
