MEVYS Cool Violet Conditioner performs best when the unwanted tone is yellow or pale yellow. It is not the ideal correction tool for strong orange, copper, or red reflects. Before applying, identify four key factors: the hair level, the underlying warmth, the porosity, and the desired finish:
Level: Is the hair level 7, 8, 9, 10, gray, white, or platinum?
Underlying warmth: Is the warmth yellow, pale yellow, yellow-orange, orange, or copper?
Porosity: Does the hair absorb quickly, feel rough, or look over-lightened?
Goal: Is the client looking for soft beige-cool, icy blonde, silver refinement, or simple yellow control?
Timing guide by level
Level 7 — Medium Blonde
Undertone: Yellow-orange to orange.
Timing: Not ideal as the main toning tool; test for 5–10 minutes only.
Expected Result: May slightly soften visible warmth, but it will not create an icy blonde result. Strong orange warmth usually requires a blue or blue-violet professional toner instead.
Level 8 — Light Blonde
Undertone: Orange-yellow to yellow.
Timing: 7–12 minutes.
Expected Result: Helps soften yellow warmth and may guide the hair toward a softer beige-cool blonde finish. If orange warmth is dominant, additional professional toning may be needed.
Level 9 — Very Light Blonde
Undertone: Yellow.
Timing: 5–8 minutes.
Expected Result: Helps refresh the blonde, reduce the look of yellow brassiness, and create a cleaner, cooler finish.
Level 10 — Lightest Blonde
Undertone: Pale yellow.
Timing: 2–5 minutes.
Expected Result: Helps support an icy, pearl, or soft platinum effect on properly lifted hair. Monitor closely to avoid over-depositing violet pigment.
White / Platinum / Silver Hair
Undertone: Pale yellow staining, dullness, or oxidation.
Timing: 1–3 minutes.
Expected Result: Helps brighten and cool the appearance of silver, white, or platinum hair. Monitor carefully, as very light hair can develop a lavender cast if left on too long.
Gray / Natural Silver Hair

Highly Porous Blonde Ends
Undertone: Uneven pale yellow or over-lightened areas.
Timing: 30 seconds–3 minutes.
Expected Result: Very quick pigment deposit. Monitor constantly to avoid violet grabbing, smoky patches, or uneven toning.
