I tried watching YouTube videos not sure what the little tiny switch in the middle between the hot air and cool air and the speed. I think it’s a memory setting not sure how to use it. Sometimes it stays kind of warm and I’d like it hotter not sure and I have it on the hottest setting, but it’s not hot. Still a learning curve for me all around I like it though.

I have gone through an absurd number of dryers in a three month span because this Gamma dryer consistently dies after about a month of regular professional use. I was sent three replacement units by StyleCraft, the manufacturer, and every single one failed the exact same way. I was even told I would be sent a new dryer and instead they sent me the same defective model again. This is clearly not user error, it is a faulty product. Gamma dryers are sold at a professional price point… but perform like disposable tools. A professional dryer should be able to handle long blow dries and daily salon use without dying. Once the warranty runs out you are left with junk and no real solution. Save your money and do not rely on this brand if you need tools that actually work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Eden from not bad but didn’t love it As someone who has used the gamma+ X-cell dryer for years I was super excited to see this! However when I got it i wasn’t sure how I felt, I used it for about two weeks before I made my final decision. I think it’s a great dryer for most normal textured hair and hair that is on the finer side. On some of my clients i felt the heat wasn’t enough for them, I found myself going back after the hair had cooled to feel the hair was still damp and sometimes even a little wet. I’m not going to say this is a bad hair dryer, however I think I would say if you have a certain clientele it could be great for you as well as a great product u could sell for clients who want to learn to do their own blowouts!
