• The cause: Metals erode in our pipes, mixing with our water and ultimately accumulating inside the hair fiber.

• The consequences: When metal particles mix with hair color and lightener oxidants, they can lead to unreliable color results and breakage.

• The solution: Metal Detox.

Before a color, balayage or lightening service:

• Spray (Mist) on dry hair, focusing on the lengths. Keep the trigger spray 8 in. away from hair.

• Short hair - 8-10 sprays.

• Long hair - 15-20 sprays.

• Let it air dry, while prepping formulas.

• Do not rinse. No added time needed.

• Follow with color, balayage or lightening service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from life changing It sounds like an exaggeration but this is a game changer. It stops most of the damage in lifting hair in the first place. Because it encapsulates the mineral deposits in the hair fiber, you no longer have to worry about the negative interaction they have with lightener. One of the best things about this is that it adds, at most, an extra 30 seconds to your service time. The lift is even and when you wash it out with the metal detox shampoo the hair is so soft. The deposit of color is also so even and true to tone. My clients are happy with the results, I'm happy with the results.

The way it evened out my over processed guests hair to make her lightening process such a smooth even process was and is a game changer. I will only use this before each and every color and chemical guest from here on out. I may even venture out and see if it'll help even out porosity on perm guests!!!! We shall see

I have used it twice on my hair already and probably about 10 to 15 of my clients. They all rave about how their hair feels so much healthier and shinier! This is a must have product for any hairdresser out there it really is outstanding quality. The hair is so much more healthier so much more shiny and manageable I will be using this forever! 10 stars!!! Works great with vivid bleach and color!!!

I've never used any product close to how these treat the hair. It is so simple to use, just spray in while you mix your color. Not only is it taking out the impurities, but I believe that it also helps to lift to a prettier and brighter blonde! Highly recommended, and I will definitely continue to use.

I have a lot of clients that have well water and it is time consuming having to do a good clarifying treatment and blowdry before applying their color. I had started having them do a clarifying at home the same day or night before services but it isn't as good as a Malibu. This spray in pre treatment eliminates the timing issues and hopefully helps with the health and integrity of the hair but only a good amount of time will really tell. I'm very impressed thus far and excited for innovation like this.
