Every now and again, a product comes to market that makes you sit up and take notice. Be it intriguing packaging, a groundbreaking formula or technological innovation, beauty game-changers are a welcome breath of fresh air. And L’Oréal Professionnel achieves all of that with the launch of their new 6-piece Source Essentielle collection.

These visually stunning bottles house a uniquely beautiful formula to match. Featuring 80-99 percent naturally-derived, vegan ingredients, each product in the Source Essentielle line is sulfate-, silicone- and paraben-free. The inclusion of sensorial flowers and leaves enhances the aesthetics of the bottles, not to mention the overall user experience. Plus, the eco-friendly, square-shaped shampoo bottles reduce the amount of plastic used and are refillable up to three times.

Speaking of refillable, the ingenious refill system is definitely something to get excited about. An eye-catching backbar dispenser re-ups your client’s shampoos up to 3 times with tracking and expiration date notation. The system serves to encourage more client visits, promotes a new retail opportunity with a 257 percent profit margin and reduces overall plastic waste after the third refill.

According to Wellington, FL-based Michael Angelo Salon and Blow Dry Bar, one of the first 10 salons in the country to preview Source Essentielle, they were very impressed with the green concept of the line. “We first saw the refill bottles at the L’Oréal Professionnel Academy in Rome. And when we saw it being introduced at the NYC Intercoiffure Symposium, we wanted to be the first to bring it to our clients,” says Michael and Debra Razzo, co-founders of Michael Angelo Salon and Blow Dry Bar. “This was a natural for us, no pun intended!”
