Pre-lighten hair to recommended level prior to coloring. Apply VIVIDS directly to clean, dry hair. Process for 20 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo lightly with VIVIDS Color Protect Shampoo. Rinse thoroughly with cool water and style as desired.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the look, hate that it doesn’t last I adore the color that it deposits, but you need a lot of color to apply as it’s very thick. Also a major downfall is that the color washes out quickly and doesn’t seem to soak into hair well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chromasilk Pastels I recently used these colors to creat an opal inspired hair color for a client. The color looked awesome! Unfortunately because the color is diluted it only lasted about 2 weeks. I made sure my client knew it wouldn't last as long as her previous Vivids colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pravana beauty I love love love pravana, yes it's slightly unpredictable, yes you need to lift to required/suggested level or its NOT going to turn out bright or evenly. It is also thick but manageable once you get use it. It is very important that you saturate thoroughly. All that being said the colors are beautiful and harmless! I adore pravana.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Diluted and Thick I completely swear by Pravana Vivids, but so far all of my experiences with Pravana Pastels has not ended well. I've noticed every time that I only get the color close to what I was wanting on areas that are porous and visibly damaged. Most recently, I took a girl from a (bleached) level 7/8 to a level 11/12 using Pravana Bleach and 30 vol developer. Somehow her hair was still in better condition than most people, but with how light the hair was I thought it would have to work. Used about 5 or 6 tubes of Pretty in Pink due to the thick consistency not wanting to spread very easily through her hair. Left it on for 40 minutes and hit it with heat a couple of times to ensure penetration. After washing it out, her hair was left splotchy and the product was so light and diluted that even in areas where it did take, it was much paler than shown on the swatch. Ended up throwing on some Too Cute Coral in the spots where the pink didn't take at all.
