Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not damage the hair. This is one of the greatest powder highlighters out there. Doesn't matter what volume you use (unless hair is already damaged) it will not damage the hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, but needs specific shampoo I first tried this lightener with 20 vol and was startled at how light it came up, and how quickly it did so. I didn't like how tacky the hair felt after drying though. After going to a Lanza class I was informed that there are conditioning agents such as Shea butter in the lighteners which could leave an undesirable residue if not shampooed with the clarifying shampoo designed to be used with the lightener. I gave it another chance, dropped the level of developer down 10 vol below what I would normally use and shampooed with their clarifying shampoo. I loved it. It came up as light as I needed with lower volume, and the blonde was very pure. The shampoo took out all the residue so the hair was soft and healthy feeling at the end of the service.
