How To

Step 1: Take a 1” section of hair and clamp the hair in place.

Step 2: Wrap the hair once around the barrel.

Step 3: Rotate your thumb until the hair wraps around the barrel evenly and release the curl. Style as usual.

I've always used a traditional curling iron so switching to the turn style took some getting used to, but all my coworkers use and love it so that helped a lot. After buying this it has become the only iron I'll use, besides a marcel. I absolutely love the economical design and don't think I could ever go back to a traditional curling iron! In salon: While using this I feel like I've cut my curling time in half, the simple turning motion now feels like second nature. The only downside is that I've noticed on finer hair types I either have to use a higher temp than normal or switch to my marcel for the hair to hold the curl longer. Also, If you're not careful the hair can wrap around the gap between the iron and the barrel. I've only had that happen to me on a few occasions when I was first learning. At home: Not only has this elevated my salon styling experience but this has truly made a difference on how I curl my own hair as well (I almost considered buying a second one just so I always have one at home)! If the price wasn't so high I would have all my guest take this home. For someone who regularly curls their hair I would definitely recommend this, 100% worth the price. As for those who only do it on occasion if you're willing to treat yourself to this you won't be disappointed, but I also understand not wanting to splurge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mstyles from Great iron!! I’m in love with this iron! The only thing I didn’t love is that the metal finish on the iron I received was scratched but I love it so much otherwise! The winding feature helps my wrists a lot and facilitates smoothing the ends of a beach wave or curl very nicely. Will order another size soon!
