What It Does

How To

Developer Choice:

• Use 20-, 30-, or 40-volume Majicrème Developer

Mixing ratio:

• 1:1 to 1:3 depending on desired consistency.

Development time:

• Maximum of 50 minutes

Technique tips:

• BALAYAGE: Hand paint with Multi-Techniques Powder using a brush and planchette. For the final 10 minutes of processing time, you may place under heat.

• FOILING: Do not put foil highlights under heat.

• HIGHLIGHTING: Use Sweet Meches or Cellophane to provide an even more define highlight.

• GLOBAL ON-SCALP: Divide the hair into thin sections. Apply Multi-Techniques evenly.

• After processing is complete, shampoo with L’Oréal Professionnel LUO Post Color Shampoo.

I like the ability to use it for multiple purposes just depending on the ratio of developer. I felt like the lift was even but the lightener consistency was not my favorite. Did also have a strong smell.

It lifts evenly and is a gentle lift that is significantly more than any other lightener that I have tried. I have been in the industry for 25 years so that says a lot. I recommend this to any stylist at any level.

The hair I balayaged lifted quickly and the hair was left in really good condition. I like that the bonder is in the powder because I am one who always forgets to add it to my formulas. This will be my go to bleach from now on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Neci from Holy moly! after 26 years in the business, I very seldomly divert from my favorite go-to lighteners, but this right here is superb because it produces a nice even lift. It's great for highlights or balayage. The hair still felt and looked heathy after the initial color service. I've used it on 2 clients so far and it's safe to say I'll be adding it to my arsenal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Giselle from Like it, don't love it. Mix thicker than directions suggest This lightener took me a few trys to get right. I only got good results once I ignored the mixing directions on the package. The suggested mixing ratios are too thin for purpose. I do not like this as a balayage lightener. It's too thin and still requires a barrier (foil/plastic wrap). For highlights, the suggested 1:1.5 ratio left me with a really thin lightener that caused my foils to slip and gave me a few bleeders. I was only able to get good results once I started mixing 1:1 for highlights, which I do not prefer because powder is more expensive than developer. I was able to get most hair light enough with just 10vol and it left the hair fairly healthy even when going from a level 4 or 5 to a 9 or 10. I never used it with anything higher than 20vol.

It Also powered through a level 4 colored hair with even lift up to a level 8 . And the hair still felt so soft and strong . I will be switching to this lightener from now on .

The consistency I had to take time getting used to but after using it 2 to 3 times I can confidently say this is one of the best lighters on the market! It is amazing on level five here and up! The only Con I would say is that is a little too thick when I remove the foil so if I want to run the excess to brighten the ends it's definitely harder all in all 9/10

I like how the back of the container tells you now to mix your lightener depending on the technique you're using and this works for balayage as well.
