Frankincense, also known as olibanum, is obtained from steam distillation of the gum resin. It has been used for 1000’s of years as incense in religious ceremonies.
Its aroma promotes a feeling of calm and introspection and a few drops in an essential oil burner can aid concentration and meditation. Frankincense has a warm, woody and sweet-spicy fragrance with a hint of lemon.
